User Interface Sounds Podcast
This podcast was the final project in CMNS 357 – Audio Media Analysis. This course taught the basics of audio recording, editing, manipulation and fabrication; in addition to audio theory. For as long as I have commuted to university I have loved podcasts, especially very well-edited content that tells a story. As our topics were constrained to studying a piece of audio communication, I choose to break down the topic in a style inspired by podcasts 99% Invisible, Twenty Thousand Hertz, Reasonably Sound, and How Sound.
I really enjoyed the process of making this podcast. Unlike solo video making, an audio-only medium requires a lot less work, and it’s therefore a lot easier to manage equipment, direction, and interviewing without getting distracted.
